Recap: Our Awesome Week at Tableau Conference 2018 in New Orleans

By: Pasquale Gatti | November 9, 2018

We wrapped up our time at Tableau Conference 2018 in New Orleans and it was a first-class experience all around.

In case you’re not familiar with the event, Tableau Conference 2018 brings together data people to learn, collaborate, and network through a variety of workshops, lectures, and hands-on training sessions. This year’s conference was the biggest yet, with over 17,000 attendees from countries far and wide!

Tableau conference 2018 kicked off on Monday, Oct. 22 with a welcome reception in the Data Village that included a parade, appetizers, and libations.

On Tuesday, Tableau president & CEO Adam Selipsky provided the opening keynote and the exhibition floor was open for business. We also hosted a party that evening at Annunciation Restaurant for clients and prospects that was well-attended and garnered rave reviews.

The next day was an eventful one that included more keynotes, breakout sessions, and the famous “Iron Viz Championship.” We then parted the night away at Data Night Out inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Attendees were free to roam the home of the New Orleans Saints, kick field goals on the actual turf, zipline, and more, while entertainment was provided by New Orleans music legends like the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Trombone Shorty. It was a fun and vibrant conclusion to our week and a great way to put the finishing touches on TC18.

Our booth in the Data Village was also an exciting place to learn more about how CoEnterprise works with Tableau to deliver actionable business insights to our customers. Named Services and Training Partner of the Year in 2017, our team was eager to assist attendees who were looking to get the most out of their data and build a lasting partnership.

The conference certainly turned out to be one for the ages and we can’t wait to do it all again next year in Las Vegas!
